Seth directs EcoAgriculture’s work promoting finance for integrated landscape management as well as its policy advocacy. He is also leading the Finance Innovations Design Team of the 1000 Landscapes for 1 Billion People initiative.
Seth has been a thought leader on these topics as the lead author of field-building publications including Scaling up investment finance for integrated landscape management, Public Policy Guidelines for Integrated Landscape Management, and soon to be published work on innovative landscape finance mechanisms, among others. He also has worked extensively on the topic of climate-smart landscapes, mostly recently the lead author of a paper for the Global Commission on Adaptation on Achieving Climate Adaptation through ILM.
He has co-developed a variety of impactful tools including the Landscape Investment and Finance Tool (LIFT), Landscape Assessment of Financial Flows (LAFF), the Landscape Governance Assessment and the Spatial Modeling of Participatory Landscape Scenarios. Seth is also an experienced presenter, trainer, curriculum developer, and workshop facilitator.
Seth holds a Masters of Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a BA in Anthropology and Environmental Science from Columbia University.Contact Seth
