Summary

This presentation, by Daniel Zimmer of Climate KIC, presents the methodology and initial findings of the draft report ‘Transforming the Financial System for Investment in Sustainable Landscapes’. The research involved more than 40 interviews with over 66 financiers about their experience and perspectives from lending, investing and grant-making to commercial, non-profit and public investments in local landscape portfolios.

These interviews, along with the workshop conducted on November 5th, 2020, are meant to build an understanding of opportunities and challenges for landscape finance, generate feedback on the 1000L initiative and investigate the interest and needs of financial institutions related to landscape finance.
