Juan Ramos provides cross-cutting programmatic and communications support for EcoAgriculture Partners. His main focus of work is landscape finance, landscape governance, and capacity development to support local landscape partnerships. Juan also supports communications, outreach, and fundraising efforts for the organization through developing and supporting events, workshops, blogs, publications, and conferences related to integrated landscape management.

With a main focus on finance, markets and policy, he works closely with the 1000 Landscapes for 1 Billion people partnership-based initiative. As a part of the finance activities teams for 1000L he supports tool development, mechanism designs, partnership outreach, and applied research. A main focus of his work is supporting the iteration of the LIFT tools through digitalization and platform integration which aims to support a wider audience of landscape partnerships in coordinating effective resource mobilization throughout the capital continuum. Juan also supports collaborative activities with landscape partnerships, with an emphasis on Latin America.

Juan has previously worked on sustainability, resource mobilization, and sustainable finance engagements at South Pole, the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IADB), and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). He studied Economics at the University of Calgary and completed a Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Finance at a joint United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI)-Universidad Finis Terrae program.

Currently back home in Guatemala after several years abroad, Juan can be found dedicating his time to supporting local regenerative projects and drinking locally grown coffee.
