David Hecht is EcoAgriculture’s Finance Intern. He supports research on innovative landscape finance mechanisms and the work of the 1000 Landscapes Finance Accelerator team. Additionally, he contributes to developing landscape finance communications and storytelling materials.
David is pursuing a master’s degree in forest resources and conservation, with a concentration in ecological restoration, at the University of Florida. His areas of interest include sustainable food systems, valuations of ecosystem services, and soil ecosystems. David has volunteered on regenerative agriculture farms for several years, including work through World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. He’s also been a volunteer teacher in India with Cross-Cultural Solutions.
David has more than 15 years of writing, research and analysis experience in the global investment management industry. He has covered an extensive range of asset classes, including alternative investments, and authored commentaries, perspectives and white papers for institutional, private client and retail investors. He is grateful to everyone who inspired him to study and help conserve ecological systems.
