Mariteuw Chimère Diaw
Chimère Diaw has been Director General of the African Model Forest Network (AMFN) since 2007. He has led that organization to great prominence and stability by focusing on building strong multi-stakeholder governance platforms within each member Model Forest. Prior to his leadership at AMFN, Chimère held positions as a forestry researcher at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). Luc Gnacadja currently serves as Special Representative of the LoCAL Programme Board for the United Nations Capital Development Fund, the only UN agency specifically mandated to work with Least Developed Countries (LDCs). He was Executive Secretary of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification from 2007 to 2013. Prior to that, Luc served as Minister of Environment and Urban Development in his native Benin.
